Ellen Hemond Sherlock Feldhacker 59 of Pawtucket, Rhode Island died Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Pawtucket.
Ellen was born December 31, 1952, Pawtucket, Providence County, Rhode Island, daughter of Joseph Amos Francis "Joe" and Evangeline "Virginia" (Theoharris) Hemond.
Ellen is survived by her mother, Virginia of Pawtucket, RI; son, Scott Sherlock and partner Angel Bateman of Pawtucket, RI; daughter, Ginny Jo Lester of Pawtucket, RI.; grandson, Brett Michael Sherlock of Pawtucket, RI; sister, Elizabeth Ellen Miles of Woodland, CA; nephew, Kevin Hemond of RI; nieces, Jackie Kane of RI and Leah Whitaker of California; her aunt, Spoula (Theoharris) Martino; cousins, Diane (Martino) Maynard, Maryanne (Martino) Paine, Thomas Dixon and Stephen Dixon all of Pawtucket, RI, and Paulette (Theoharris) Hill of New Jersey, and Cleo (Theoharris) Ariosta of California; and very close friends, John and Linda Hunter of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, Gale Wirtanen Ribeiro of RI, and Stephen P. H. Frakes of Salem, Illinois.
Ellen was preceded in death by her dear father; her brother, Joseph Francis Hemond; her grandparents, Aime Joseph and Nellie (McKenna) Hemond, and Stephanos and Polixeni (Markazini) Thaohares; her aunts and uncles, Paul and Bertha Theoharres, Louis and Emily (Theoharris) Bergamo, Thomas and Olga (Theoharris) Dixon and Frank Martino; cousin Paul Dixon.
Ellen lived her whole life in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She loved gardening, flowers and vegetables. She had a passion for cooking and loved using her fresh grown produce in her cooking. She loved old black and white movies and especially loved watching "The Waltons," and her girl's night out with her cousins. Her greatest love and passion was for her son, daughter and grandson. A visit by them always brightened her day.
She will be greatly missed, but also remembered with much joy, as that is what she brought to those who knew her.
Ellen loved this picture. She called it her Peaceful Green Valley.
